**Part-time role - 3 days per week in Penrith (2 positions)**:

The headspace program of Uniting offers an “open door”, easily accessible, early intervention service for young people (12 to 25 years old) wishing to obtain support for mental health or substance use issues.

The Peer Support worker duties will include:

- Ensure every client's experience is recovery-focused and facilitates development of client-led goals through the development of a peer support coaching relationship
- Model, coach and problem solve with clients based upon peer 'lived experiences' of mental health recovery

**Essential Criteria**:

- Personal lived experience of mental health illness
- Full Drivers Licence
- Comprehensive understanding of the recovery process and ability to appropriately communicate a lived experience
- Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries with consumers

**Even better**:

- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or other relevant area or working towards
