Concrete Pump Line Hand

**Hours of Work**

Monday - Friday

7.6 hours/day, with regular overtime including Saturdays

**Reporting Relationships**

Reports to: Concrete Pump Operator & the Managing Director

**Primary Role**

This role will be responsible to assist the concrete pump operator in the set up and dismantling of the pump truck and equipment; while ensuring that all safety measures and precautions are taken into account.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assist the concrete pump operator in the set up and dismantling of the pump truck and equipment
- Connect hoses and pipes to the pump truck to transfer concrete to the desired location
- Direct the placement of concrete by guiding the hoses and pipes to the desired location
- Clean and maintain the hoses and pipes to ensure proper function and prevent blockages
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate with other workers on the job site to coordinate concrete delivery and placement
- Complete paperwork and maintain accurate records of concrete deliveries and other relevant information, as required
- Work on various job sites and in accordance with relevant Safety, Health and Environment Work Method Statements and Regulations
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- Contribute to the Safety Culture in a positive way
- General duties, when required or requested

**Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Attitude Required**
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and in a variety of weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Previous experience in the construction industry or a related field is preferred but not required
- Perform a variety of tasks and operate other equipment as needed or required when not pumping concrete

**Qualification, Licences & Other Requirements**
- Willingness to undertake a pre-employment Order 43 Medical
- Current NSW Driver’s licence with a current copy of driving history and ability to drive manual transmission
- Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)
- We have a zero-tolerance policy with regular drug and alcohol screenings for our projects

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
