**Description**:
Please note that it is a genuine requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person in accordance with s25 of the Anti-discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).

About the Role

The Transport Coordinator will effectively coordinate staff to ensure adequate transport schedules are delivered to increase efficiency across the service. In addition this position will contribute to continual improvement projects with regards to: patient safety, patient wait time, staff downtime and vehicle maintenance.

During transport advocate and advertise on behalf of ATSICHS informing passengers of items such as: clinic locations, hours, services provided and upcoming community and clinic events.

Support fellow staff in a team environment to build collegiality and a sense of belongingness within the team and ATSICHS family. Staff will actively participate in team activities and contribute to a flourishing workplace culture that promotes the ethos and values of ATSICHS Brisbane as a long standing Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.

Duties
- Ensure the effective and safe coordination of staff to create most efficient transport of passengers
- Effectively communicate with other employees
- Commit to Continuous quality Improvement

**Skills and Experiences**:
COVID-19 Requirements
- A medical certificate signed by a medical practitioner stating you have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccination

Essential

Current Drivers License.
Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Previous experience as a Transport Driver.
Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply

Desirable, but not mandatory

Transport experience in Primary Health setting.
