Sydney, Australia Careers at Eucalyptus Full time

**Eucalyptus **(or 'Euc' for short) is a healthcare technology organisation on a mission to deliver high touch, high quality care to millions of patients.

Eucalyptus is a house of consumer healthcare brands built off of a core shared technology and services layer. We have 4 healthcare brands that form the connective tissue between telehealth consults with doctors, pharmacy delivery and ongoing patient care. Our goal is to provide a differentiated and comprehensive care experience for a wide variety of patients and conditions

Eucalyptus is looking for a passionate clinician to support our risk and medical operations streams. This role has a major focus on safety and quality within the organisation, with a view to develop and enhance clinical risk, safety and patient outcomes. As an integral member of our Risk team and wider clinical team, you'll work both reactively and proactively in a fast-paced and exciting environment. You'll be a key driver of improving healthcare safety and quality within our clinical partners as well as internally within the organisation. You'll work closely with our Clinical Risk Leads and larger clinical team to scale a sustainable telehealth operation that is safe, delightful and ultimately drives positive outcomes for patients.

**Job description**

Our Risk team strives to identify and manage risks to the business to ultimately enable Eucalyptus's ambitions and to operate safely and effectively as a healthcare organisation. These risks can arise from a number of patient touch-points, however, particularly include our prescribers and partner pharmacies. As a Clinical Risk Associate, you will be a key player in a small team tasked with driving forward patient safety projects, risk mitigations and quality improvement initiatives to ensure our patients have the best possible experience with us.

**_ What this means in practice_**

First, you'll be our beacon of safety and quality, developing and implementing clinical audits, before analysing the key findings and driving improvement initiatives. These audits will incorporate several clinical patient touch-points, spanning both prescribing and pharmacy audits, so you will have an advantageous birds-eye view of our entire medical operations.

Next, you'll be a pivotal player in our clinical incident management process. You will be able to both proactively identify risks to our patients and business, as well as reactively manage clinical incidents that come your way - requiring a healthy amount of cross-functional liaising.

Then, you'll be the brains behind reviewing and developing both our internal and patient-facing clinical resources. How will Eucalyptus convey clinical information both internally and externally in the clearest way, without compromising clinical accuracy? How can we best enable our patients with access to their medication information to promote optimal health outcomes? This is all your domain

Finally, you'll be an important support to both our Risk leads and larger clinical team to define and make headway towards the overarching clinical vision of the company. You'll think through questions like - _How does Eucalyptus improve patient outcomes? How can we use data to empower our partner prescribers and pharmacies to provide a better and safer patient experience? What tools can we provide doctors and clinical staff to allow them to provide care with improved quality and safety? What are our risks and how do we address them?_

This role includes a healthy mix of fire fighting and long term problem solving in a lightning-fast-paced environment, working with a diverse set of stakeholders.

This is the perfect launch pad to more senior clinical roles in Euc's global Operations team.

The role is based in Sydney and reports to the Medical Risk Lead and forms part of Eucalyptus' Operations team.

**Key responsibilities**
- Identify the clinical safety and quality areas for improvement and develop the framework and resources required to solve them
- Reactively and proactively identify and manage risks and incidents within the organisation
- Develop, implement and perform quality and safety audit processes
- Be a key liaison between different stakeholders, for example, our partner pharmacies, prescribers and internal Eucalyptus teams.
- Develop and review both internal and patient-facing clinical resources
- Assess and address the findings of these audits and be the key driver of improving processes

Ultimately, this is a very flexible role and you'll need to be ready to tackle a wide range of challenges

**About you**
- **Patient obsessed** - you understand and empathise with our diverse patient base; you work with doctors to drive quality and safety to ultimately get better outcomes for patients
- **Detail orientated** - you are meticulous and complete tasks with rigour
- **Reliable** - you'll have big goals and lots of autonomy; we need to know you can handle it
- **Skilled communicator** - your thinking and messaging
