**The Role**
Specialist Ships branch, within Defence’s Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), is seeking professional and motivated Project Support Officers to provide ongoing project management support to the Commonwealth Governments continuous naval shipbuilding projects.
As a Project Support Officer in Specialist Ships branch you will perform complex acquisition activities within an integrated workforce and contribute to the achievement and delivery of complex capability. Our projects are critical to ensuring that the Australian Navy meet their operational challenges into the future.
The right person for this role will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities of the Defence environment and the agility to identify and respond to meet new demands. You will be a valued team member who provides support and guidance to the project team across a range of areas to deliver strategic capabilities.
Specialist Ships branch currently has ten (10) projects with more coming through the pipeline, this gives our staff a unique opportunity to continually grow, learning through all stages of the capability lifecycle in a reduced timeframe.
We are looking for a collaborator who will be able to understand the needs of our stakeholders and produce outcomes and results according to their requirements.

Specialist Ships branch, under Patrol Boats and Specialist Ships Division, is an exciting and complex environment, offering a rewarding career in one of the most dynamic organisations within NSSG.
We are responsible for the acquisition of complex maritime capability and delivery of Specialist and Minor War Vessels to the Navy.
