
Coach (Behaviour Support) - 2024 Vacancy - South

The Coach reports to the South East Region Deputy Principal Education Officer - Behaviour Support Service, and Principal of their base school. The three roles will be based on different school sites, but work regionally in schools.
They will work with other Behaviour Support Service Staff, which may include Teacher and Teacher aide.
**As the Coach - Behaviour Support Service you will**:
- Lead and coordinate the coaching and mentoring of staff members in requesting school, developing collegiality, building a learning and development culture, modelling innovative teaching strategies to support students with complex behaviour support needs, and encouraging appropriate professional development
- Lead the review, development and implementation of teaching and learning strategies, and student behaviour supports within classrooms
- Work across schools in the South East Region, supporting improved student outcomes through coaching in classrooms, and working collaboratively with leadership teams to support positive student behaviour outcomes.
How you will be assessedWithin the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

- Capacity to lead, and model pedagogical reform and/or development activities at a school or cluster level that will result in improved targeted outcomes
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the relevant program
- Demonstrated capacity to develop and sustain strong interpersonal relationships and establish productive partnerships fundamental to coaching and the delivery of professional development activities
- Capacity to lead strategies to maximise student achievement through a coaching model with staff
