**Provide therapeutic support to children in schools around a range of matters including relationships, family or educational issues. Based in Aldinga**

**The Role**

Work schedule

Mondays and Wednesdays - 8:30am - 4:36pm

As a School Counsellor you will provide 1:1 therapeutic support to children in Catholic Schools in metropolitan Adelaide and some country areas. In this role, you will support students facing challenges and facilitate referrals to appropriate services as needed.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide counselling support for students experiencing difficulties with relationships, family, or educational issues.
- Work closely with the Principal and/or leadership team to support student wellbeing and school initiatives.
- Liaise with external agencies to support students and families at risk, including providing referral pathways when needed.
- Work with students and families in crisis, providing both proactive and reactive support.

**What you need to bring**
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or other relevant field
- RAN- EC- training certification
- Experience in working with parents, children and young people(desirable)
- Experience working in a school setting(desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Experience using Athena Penelope electronic client management system
