The role involves preparing nutritious meals, overseeing kitchen operations, supporting participant wellbeing, guiding volunteers, and assisting with program activities alongside mental health support staff. Working **9am-2pm, Monday to Friday**, you’ll help foster a safe, welcoming space where people feel seen, valued, and supported. View the position description **What’s on offer**: In addition to a base salary + causal loading + salary packaging + superannuation, you will have access to: - An **extra** **17.5%** on top of your fortnightly pay when you take paid annual leave - Ability to **increase** **your** **take-home pay** by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits which can be used for living expenses such as rent, groceries, bills, clothing, and much more. - **10%**discount** on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre. - **25% discount**at Uniting Op Shops - A great location in Carlisle St, St Kilda, close to public transport. **About you**: To be successful in this role you will have: - Working with Children Check & Police Check (or willing to obtain) - Food Safety Level 1 (or willing to obtain) - Preferred: Cert II in Hospitality or Kitchen Operations - Experience in community, mental health, or support settings - Hospitality or kitchen experience - Volunteer supervision experience (desirable) - Knowledge of food safety & hygiene - Comfortable working with diverse backgrounds - Coffee machine use (training available) - Supportive, inclusive, and recovery-focused approach **How to apply**: **About Uniting**: At Uniting we are passionate about working together to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice.
