**About the role**

The Resource Recovery Planning Section is responsible for strategic and annual planning and implementation of programs, projects and policy for the Inner West Council to deliver the outcomes and goals of the Community Strategic Plan.

The Resource Recovery Planning Team is focussed on the avoidance, reuse, recycling, recovery and disposal of materials generated from the IWC area. The team is responsible for both the short and longer term future planning and policy around waste management. This includes planning and communications around waste management and moving waste materials up the waste hierarchy. This team works closely with the Resource Recovery Services Team which delivers waste services and manages IWC waste operations.

The Resource Recovery Officer - Data and Support will provide administration support for the Resource Recovery Planning team including data entry, customer service enquiries, communications and bookings, and involvement in projects and events within the team as directed. The Resource Recovery Officer
- Data and Support will be responsible for collecting and managing resource recovery data including statistical analysis.

**Remuneration**

$60,595.08 - $72,108.40 + Superannuation

**Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications**

1. Relevant qualifications and/or extensive industry experience in resource recovery customer service, administration support and data management.
2. Demonstrated capacity to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
3. Sound knowledge of waste management services and regulations and able to respond to and resolve customer enquiries.
4. High standard of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including customer service (written, telephone and face-to-face). Ability to gather and manipulate data and provide data reports.
