As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Ballajura, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.
In this role, you will
Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence
Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
About Goodstart Ballajura
Goodstart Early Learning Ballajura is situated on a quiet street close to local schools and shops. Our car park is at the front of the centre
Our centre caters for children from birth to five years and has been operational for more than 14 years, educating and caring for many children in the community who eventually move from our care to the local schools
We support our local schools and even had some of the older children from the schools do their work experience with us at our centre
We take pride in our environments and ensure they are calm, relaxing, child friendly spaces enhanced with elements of nature. We aim at engaging children through the purposeful set up of play stations across our environments maximising children’s outcomes for learning and their opportunity to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.

You’ll need
A Diploma or bachelor’s in early childhood education
Hold a current Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one
Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services
Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage
Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
