Your journey with ATCO Australia
You will join us as a** Manager of Technical Compliance **in our Assets and Engineering group based at Jandakot to support the gas business in achieving our objectives safely, with a focus on continuous improvement. Reporting to the General Manager of Assets and Engineering, you will lead a Risk & Safety Engineers team in delivering critical Engineering and Operational compliance support functions.
What you will contribute to:
- Leading the Technical Compliance Team to ensure optimal workload distribution and supporting training and development pathways.
- Managing the Audit, Emergency Exercise, Incident Investigation, Formal Safety Assessment and Safety Case Review programs so as to ensure deliverables are achieved to a high quality and on schedule.
- Coordinating the implementation, review and revision of the Gas Distribution System, Petroleum Pipeline and Hydrogen Blending Gas Plant Safety Cases.
- Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements through management of the internal audit program and oversight of the corrective action processes.
- Oversight of ATCO’s Dangerous Goods Licence and associated Safety Management System requirements.
- Liaison with relevant Technical Regulators in relation to the Gas Network Operations.
- Ownership and monitoring implementation of the Permit to Work and Management of Change Systems.
- Ownership of ATCO’s Emergency Response Management Plan and delivery of Emergency Exercise program.
- Maintenance and implementation of ATCOs risk management processes, systems and procedures to ensure ATCO identifies, assesses and controls safety, gas supply and environmental risk to an acceptable level.
- Supporting ATCO’s ESG goals and renewable fuel projects by integrating new compliance requirements into Business as Usual processes
What you will bring:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Chemical or Mechanical preferable).
- 10+ years’ experience in a process safety role in either a consulting and/or operational capacity.
- Proven leadership and team building capabilities, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders.
- Certification in Auditing, Incident/Government Investigation (or equivalent experience), and HAZOP Facilitation is highly regarded.
- Detailed knowledge of gas distribution and transmission regulations and standards highly regarded.
