**Your new role**
As an APS6 Procurement Officer, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary teams. You will work under limited direction, using a range of professional skills, experience, and stakeholder management to deliver outcomes for a dedicated team.

In your new role you will demonstrate success in the following:

- ICT sourcing activities end-to-end, from market insights and sourcing strategies, to sourcing and procurement transactions through to contract execution
- Conducting procurement administration and financial management activities
- Ensuring procurements are conducted in accordance with the Commonwealth Resources Management Framework and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules

**What you'll need to succeed**

As the talented individual you are, you will also demonstrate ability to:

- Conduct simple procurement activities to complex sourcing projects for IT commodities, hardware and software products and licensing agreements, ICT services and contractors
- Conduct sourcing transactions including Request for Quote/Tender development, evaluation, and negotiations to contract execution using a range of approaches/methodologies as appropriate, including panels, limited tenders, and open market
- Conduct ICT procurement and provide advice in accordance with the Commonwealth Resources Management Framework and Departmental Policy
- Provide high quality, client focused, practical, accurate and timely procurement and contract management services to business areas in an accurate manner
- Build and maintain a good working relationship with the Department’s ICT External Service Providers
- Identify and analyse procurement issues and provide assistance to the Procurement Manager
- Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or higher
- Knowledge of ICT and Cyber procurements

You must have a minimum Baseline Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
