Canex are sourcing a Natural Areas Officer based with our client in Noosa for an immediate start. Successful applicants must demonstrate knowledge of plant health and maintenance and carry out natural area restoration.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Daily activities of the Bushland Management Team.
- Remove unwanted weeds within Council bushland reserves by various approved means including physical, mechanical, chemical and thermal methods.
- Create and maintain chemical distribution records as per the Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control Act 1966.
- Perform other activities relevant to the Council’s bushland management plans.
- Participate to disseminate information to the public at Council and other open days.
- Conduct pre-start and pre-operation checks when operating small plant, vehicles or weed control equipment.
- Maintain and clean hand tools, plant and equipment used by the Bushland Management gang and volunteers.
