Bakery Assistant

The primary role of this position is to prepare and cook the pie meat fillings, clean as you go, and to assist our team with production of various other bakery goods including, pies, sausage rolls, pasties, quiche and other items as required.

We cook our pie fillings in a state of the art 100litre electric Joni kettle with agitator, as well as slow cooking certain varieties in our large rack oven before transferring to the Joni kettle for the finishing touches. All recipes are tried and proven.

Your day will typically start at 5am and depending on production load, finish between 10am and 2pm. Again depending on production you will work 4-5 days/week monday - friday, no weekend work required.

There may be further opportunities to expand your role if you demonstrate skill and ability in pastry and cake production.

Pay: $21.38 - $37.46 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
