**About the role**:
We are looking for a qualified and motivated Social Worker to join us at Cessnock Hospital. This position is embedded within the Cessnock Kurri Kurri Social Work team, a dynamic and supportive group of professionals committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

You will provide a broad range of social work services to inpatients across the medical and surgical wards, as well as the Emergency Department. Your role will focus on providing care and clinical advice to patients and their families/carers. You will work closely with the Multidisciplinary Allied Health team, collaborating to provide holistic and integrated care within a sub-acute hospital environment.

**About you**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, independent, and self-directed clinician with a passion for working in a hospital setting. You will be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates initiative, and values patient advocacy.

**Requirements**:

- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer

**Additional Information**:

- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
