- Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) is a major provider of healthcare in the South Gippsland Shire. GSHS offers a broad range of services that meet the needs of a diverse area.- Medical Imaging at GSHS, provides a comprehensive range of services including Computed Tomography (CT), ultrasound, general x-ray, Mammography and Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD). Additionally, we undertake a range of image guided interventional and pain management procedures. With a new state-of-the-art CT scanner, we will soon offer Cardiac CT services to the South Gippsland community. The range of Interventional procedures performed includes but are not limited to; PICC line insertions, fine needle aspiration and core biopsies of superficial and deep organs, drainages of pleural and abdominal collections, CT Coronary Angiograms, Lumbar punctures, nerve root, facet joint and epidural injections as well as musculoskeletal injections.**About the Role**
Due to expansion of services, Gippsland Southern Health Service currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced CT Radiographer to join our dynamic and supportive Medical Imaging Team as CT Modality Lead.- This is a permanent, full-time position, you will be working Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with participation in our after-hours on-call roster. The position will be based primarily at Leongatha Hospital but you will be required to work across both campuses. Operationally, you will be responsible to the Medical Imaging Manager.- As a key member of the Medical imaging team your primary objective as CT team leader is the day to day management and provision of a high quality, efficient and patient focussed Computed Tomography service.**About You**
- You will have a Degree in Medical Imaging Science (Radiography) or hold an equivalent qualification with current AHPRA Registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner. You should have a minimum of three years' experience in CT with proven expetise in Cardiac CT.-
- Cardiac CT and CT Coronary Angiography experience and expertise
- Experience managing projects and service developments
- Experience developing CT protocols, policies and procedures
- A postgraduate qualification in CT is desirable but not essential
- Cannulation certification
- Proven leadership and management skills in CT and a willingness to take on a leadership role within Medical Imaging
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, colleagues and all stakeholders
- Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise and make decisions
- A positive “can-do” attitude and eagerness to learn
- An ability to respond and adapt to changing conditions
- An ability to contribute to Quality, Safety and Risk management
- Evidence of ongoing self-development.
