- ** Team Leader - Thursday and Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm**:

At **Aspect Adult Community Services program**, we create a supportive, fun, collaborative atmosphere for both staff and participants. Staff work alongside participants to reach their personal goals. Programs of support reflect the goals and interests of our participants. Activities in our programs include personal training/fitness, cooking/kitchen operations, photography, podcasting, horticulture, and the arts. Recently, our participants hosted their own art exhibition.
**About this role**: The Team Leader will provide strong leadership to the team through ongoing coaching of our support workers, and recruitment of new staff. You will coordinate the activities and programs on a daily basis, while providing high-quality, active support to our participants. This is a part time role as a team leader with the option to work as a
You will be responsible for monitoring and delivering quality services to participants using Positive Behaviour Support and the implementation of safe and positive strategies in all service delivery to maximize outcomes and develop people on the autism spectrum to build practical life skills for independent living.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Lead a team of support workers within Aspect Adult Community Services, monitor and support individual and team outcomes and performance
- Provide operational or procedural direction and advice and update staff on new initiatives and changes in policy and procedures
- Maintain staffing levels in conjunction with the Coordinator (Operations) by producing a fortnightly roster and ensuring daily staffing levels are met
- Ensures staff attend orientation training, complete mandatory training and provide ongoing skills development in collaboration with Practice Leaders
- Attend promptly to issues raised by staff and when needed, escalates issues to Coordinator (Operations)
- Participate in performance management, disciplinary procedures in conjunction with the Coordinator (Operations) where applicable
- Demonstrate positive leadership in decision making on a daily basis by analysing the operational risk of service delivery based on staff leave, service provision changes/cancellations
**Qualifications** What you bring**:
- Certificate IV in Disability Services (desirable) or other qualification or experience in the area of disability services
- Proactive approach in supporting individuals with a disability
- Extensive experience working with people with complex support needs
- Extensive experience in person centred planning and approaches
- Extensive experience supporting people within a positive behaviour support context
- Demonstrated leadership capability and Strong teamwork focus
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills including intermediate Microsoft Word skills
- Driver’s Licence valid in Australia and use of own vehicle for business purposes
- NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance for paid employment (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check for paid employment in the state where you will be employed (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module, ‘Quality, Safety and You.' If you have not already completed this free module, click here to access it.
- You may also be required to provide an international police clearance
