Description and Requirements

This role is what every OSHC Coordinator dreams of This Lead Coordinator role is to manage a large OSHC service in Narangba, lead a team, be involved in the school community, and build key relationships with the school, families, and children.
A large service with an existing Coordinator, 2 Assistant Coordinators, and 6 consistent Educators. This service has a large airconditioned OSHC room plus use of many rooms around the school including the hall which has a kitchen and bathrooms all attached. Licenced for 180, this service has room to grow with approximately 75 children attending in the morning and 150 in the afternoon.
In the afternoon your role will be additional to ratio, plus your Coordinator and an Educator focused on transferring children to extra-curricular activities are additional to ratio for the first half of the afternoon also.
In addition to paid admin hours every week, every term you also have 3 hours of paid professional development and 2 hours of paid staff meetings. About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at Narangba Valley State School in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus Regional Managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into
Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration
Ensure quality and compliance in service delivery, and work with your team towards excellent rating and assessment outcomes

Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and JAG, but a few basics you need to have: Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children in a leadership position or a similar role Ideally minimum Diploma qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Diploma in Children’s Services), or have completed minimum 2 years of full time study in a relevant field Current and valid Working with Children Check, or state required check Clear and professional communication
