As a Dental Assistant, you’ll make a positive impact by:

- You will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to a Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist
- You will assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records, as well as other duties as required
- You will assisting in the promotion of oral health to patients
- You will ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, including accordance with Defence Policies & Procedures.
- You will contribute to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated compliance with relevant standards and procedures
- Minimum of 2 years’ (full time equivalent) chair-side experience within the last 5 years.
- Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.

**About ADF Health Services**
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.

**About Edinburgh**

Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This super-base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine. The health centre operates a 16 bed low dependency ward 24/7. It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 - 15:30 Monday - Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

**You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.**

You don’t need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
