**Location**: Blackburn
**Work Hours**: 12 hours per week including Saturday

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and mature-aged **female support worker (39+)** to assist a female participant living with multiple health conditions, including **bone cancer recovery**, **chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)**, **myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME)**, **major depression**, and **type 2 bipolar disorder (low mood, no mania)**.

The participant has **extreme OCD** and requires a support worker who understands and can cater to her specific needs with patience and attention to detail. She is immobile but enjoys engaging in relaxing activities such as **watching films** when she feels up to it. She also has a beloved **cat** that is part of her home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide support tailored to the participant’s mental health, physical needs, and OCD requirements.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, light cleaning, and ensuring her home environment remains orderly and aligns with her preferences.
- Engage in companionship activities such as watching films or chatting when the participant feels well enough.
- Respect and accommodate the participant’s boundaries and routines.
- Ensure the cat’s needs are met, including feeding and general care.

What We’re Looking For:

- **Female support worker aged 39+** with experience in mental health and disability support.
- A calm, empathetic, and non-judgemental individual with strong organisational skills.
- Experience working with individuals with OCD or similar needs is highly preferred.
- A love for cats and willingness to assist with light pet care.
- Understanding and respectful of the participant’s preferences, including her desire for a clean and orderly environment.

**Requirements**:

- Current **Working with Children Check**, **Police Check**, and **NDIS Worker Screening Check**.
- **First Aid and CPR certification**.
- Public liability insurance (if applicable).
- Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to building a positive and trusting relationship with the participant.
