The Centre

Truganina Early Learning Centre is in Truganina on the corner of Leakes and Clearwood Drive. We are opposite the Truganina P-9 school so we are very convenient for families needing both early learning and primary school.

Our service caters for 124 children per day, and we have 7 rooms. We have 4 outdoor learning environments for the children to be amongst children of their own ages. We offer both 3- and 4-year-old Kinder programs. As well as a long day care room for children who attend sessional Kindergartens. We offer a play based indoor/outdoor learning program for the children.

Our Kinder Room has an interactive tv where children are able to extend on their knowledge by doing their own research. We also have fish and stick insects as pets.

We celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year. We sponsor a Koala at Ballarat Wildlife Park called Jimmie Jams. We also sponsor a child from Zimbabwe called Together.

We have treats and coffee for our families throughout the week. On Fridays we have face paint Fridays with our children. We have our educational gurus that teach our children yoga, music, sports, gardening, and cooking. We have a yoga room at the front of the service and a MasterChef Kitchen Room. For our children to participate in cooking classes.

The Opportunity

Working closely with your fellow Educators and Centre Manager, you will enjoy;
Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.

Developing and implementing an innovative early learning program reflective of current early years thinking and practice.

Documenting and sharing with families in their children’s learning and development.

Actively contributing to the implementation and adoption of the Guardian Curriculum.

Professional learning and development programs, career pathways, and a truly collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

**To be considered, you will have**:
A completed Certificate III and/or Diploma in Children’s Services (or working towards)

Prior experience in long day-care

Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF

Current Working with Children’s Check.
