Support Worker New Farm

**About the role**:
Our client is young and vibrant. They are passionate about fashion, enjoys going shopping, are creative and keen to get to know you, and for you to know and understand them.

This role currently requires community access support.

Our Client needs his Support Worker to:

- Understand LGBTQI perspectives.
- Have an understanding and ability to support anxiety and mental health conditions.
- Be fluent in English.
- Be willing to genuinely get to know them and engage with them.
- Be available for Wednesday shifts predominantly in the morning.
- Be able to drive, have their own car, drivers’ license and comprehensive insurance.

**The base hourly rate is $33.21/hr plus penalties for qualifying shifts (not negotiable).**

You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and support from our awesome Support Specialist team.

- **Your key responsibilities & accountabilities **_

To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered

Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients' needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist

Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs

Provide support to our Clients as required

Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner

Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required

Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients

To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals
- **To be Successful you must **_

Resonate with the role description above

Hold CPR and first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Hold NDIS worker screening or yellow card (or willingness to obtain)

Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card

Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (or willingness to obtain
- preferred)

Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia

Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives

Manual handling experience required
