The **Great Southern Hotel Melbourne (GSH-Melbourne)** is a 4 Star hotel located in the heart of Melbourne CBD. We are currently seeking an experienced Room Quality Attendant on a casual basis to join our team. You must take pride in your work and be willing to go that “extra mile” to make our guest’s stay an enjoyable one. This is a physically demanding role that requires an energetic and enthusiastic person who is ready and willing to work as part of a team.

**As our Room Quality Attendant, your responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring the room quality is maintained by conducting spot checks. Rooms quality is based on the list of items required or to be in a condition which is acceptable by management for a room to be sold.
- Co-ordinating with the room attendants directly where the errors/ issues are found and what can be fixed before guest checks in
- Co-ordinating with the Maintenance staff directly when there are issues, maintenance problems, damaged equipment, and missing items immediately which can be fixed before a guest checks in.
- When doing an inspection of a room, wherever possible the aim must be to fix the minor issues by yourself (list provided) and any major issues to be brought to notice of Housekeeping /Maintenance to fix. In either case you must report this to the management so that they can take measures to fix the reoccurrence of this happening
- Attend a daily briefing session to receive up to date information on the daily activities and to sign and be responsible for a master key on a shift-to-shift basis.

- Be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised
- Be flexible and available for work across a 7-day roster with an early morning shift and/or evening shift.
- Have knowledge and understanding of basic hygiene requirements and safe working procedures
- Be committed to providing extraordinary service
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a 4-to-5-star hotel establishment is highly advantageous
