At BAE Systems we are all systems go as we continue to drive innovation and seek passionate and talented people to join our business. We currently have multiple Junior Technician opportunities within our Maritime Sustainment based in Henderson, WA.
The Junior Technician is accountable for providing technical support to the design, development and integration of systems and/or equipment in accordance with the contractual and Company requirements in order to achieve the required business performance.

**In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will**:

- Assist in the preparation and provision of information to enable the production of replies to requests for tender or quotations
- Assist in the development and/or preparation of accurate documentation including test procedures and reports
- Defect analysis, resolution and provision of detailed Technical Reports
- Provide input to planning and maintenance of schedules
- Be available to undertake off-site installation or training deployments
- Participate in bids/RFT/quotations for selected Communications Works and Projects
- Provide and update plans and schedules
- Implement Quality Procedures during delegated projects
- Design input for selected minor projects

**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will have**:

- A Technical (electrical, mechanical, communications) qualification (TAFE/University) and or relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience of Installation, Integration, Set To Work, Acceptance Testing and defect repair in the area of specific Technical expertise
- The ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance “Negative Vetting 1”
- Experience in the use of specialised test equipment and tools
- Sound fault finding techniques with the ability to diagnose and rectify complex technical problems

A Defence security clearance is required for these roles. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
