**Join our dedicated team as the Head of Emergency Department**
Are you a passionate and experienced veterinarian looking to take the next step in your career?
We’re seeking a dedicated Head of Emergency Department to lead our Emergency Veterinary team. In this key role, you will set high standards of clinical practice, ensure efficient operational management, and provide mentorship to junior staff—all while ensuring top-quality care for our patients.
**Who are we**:

The clinic is equipped with in-house haematology, biochemistry, electrolyte and blood gas analyser, a full diagnostic imaging suite (ultrasound, radiology, CT & MRI), fully equipped surgical suites and an endoscopy/rhinoscopy tower.
Our team is collaborative and focused on patient-centred care. We pride ourselves on our work culture and are committed to investing in our future including training, equipment, and other resources.
**The Opportunity**:
This is a unique position fulfilling clinical and operational responsibilities:

- ** Operational Management**: Ensure smooth department operations, manage staffing and resources, and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols.
- ** Staff Management**: Foster a positive and engaging workplace culture, manage rosters and leave requirements, and provide performance feedback to the emergency team.
- ** Liaison & Communication**: Build strong relationships with referring clinicians, internal teams, and clients to ensure seamless and high-quality patient care.
**About you**:
We are looking for an experienced emergency veterinarian, who is enthusiastic and motivated to lead and grow our dedicated team. Lead veterinary experience and further emergency training (membership exams, internship program) is ideal but not required.
As head of department, you will have clinical responsibilities, as well as providing guidance and mentorship to the wider emergency team, while collaborating with the other specialty departments of the hospital.

**What We Offer**:
- A collaborative and supportive work environment.
- A flexible schedule with a mix of clinical and administrative duties.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development, including mentorship and training.
