Hercus Pty Ltd is currently seeking an CNC machinists to program and operate within our CNC Lathe sections

Work is mainly general engineering / jobbing / small production runs and working to drawings or samples.

Work is varied, sometimes challenging and all types of materials are machined.

You will possess the following:

- Will need a trade qualification in "Certification III in Engineering" or show relevant experience Programming & Operating on either a CNC Lathe or Mill (at least three years experience)
- Be fully conversant in Fanuc & Mazatrol control languages with experience in shop-floor programming in a medium or large capacity jobbing environment.
- Able to comprehensively read and understand engineering drawings.
- Able to use measuring instruments (working with metric and imperial measurements)
- Be prompt, reliable, efficient & ability to effectively work unsupervised.
- Have a professional attitude and a sound work ethic.
- Comply with our OHS standards

Permanent position will only become available after an agreed trial period

**Salary**: $36.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- CNC Lathe Programming: 3 years (preferred)
- CNC Lathe Operator: 3 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
