**The opportunity:
As a Public Affairs Manager you will be a key part of our team developing and enhancing Bupa’s corporate reputation and engaging with government. You will also be supporting our Director of Public Affairs in building, maintaining, and effectively leveraging strategic relationships and partnerships across government, industry stakeholders, key influencers and other decision made in Australia

**This is a permanent full-time position, based in Melbourne or Sydney. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home).
**How will I help?**

**You will add value by**:

- Developing and managing Bupa’s relationships with a wide range of government and related stakeholders in order to enhance our reputation and promote understanding of our health insurance business and its unique place in the market.
- Supporting Bupa Health Insurance’s commercial objectives, reputation and key business projects through a well-defined advocacy and public policy agenda.
- Working closely with the Director Public Affairs, Head of Corporate Affairs - Health Insurance, and other relevant internal stakeholders to develop robust corporate positioning across a range of public policy issues.
- Working closely with the Director Public Affairs to develop policy positions and advocacy strategies to influence healthcare delivery, financing and policy change outcomes to support Bupa’s commercial strategies.
- Supporting the Director Public Affairs in developing and delivering an effective public affairs strategy for Bupa.
- Delivering high quality policy submissions on behalf of Bupa.
- Advising the business on government and policy changes that impact on Bupa.

**What do I need?**

You are a master of articulate language, that will work with our stakeholders to create extraordinary public affairs outcomes. You have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, including experience in partnering with key stakeholders and writing for different audiences and scenarios.

Whether it’s the ability to negotiate difficult or sensitive social and political situations diplomatically or your strong research and communication skills - you put all your heart in it and have a wide range of knowledge and wisdom on government, policy and legislative process and working of political parties.

Ideally you have a degree level qualification in political science, public policy, communications, legal or business fields
