**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Responsible for carrying out repairs and maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program throughout the property. Repairs will include basic carpentry, gardening, mowing and plumbing, fixtures and fittings (adjusting, replacing) and painting
- Liaise with the Front Office team to log and complete maintenance tasks related to accommodation rooms and Hotel public areas.
- Build a strong and collaborative relationship with all stakeholders in the business, including guests and team members
- Ensure cost control measures are implemented and all administration duties are completed in a timely manner
- Ensure company standards, systems and procedures are being implemented and maintained
- Mon to Friday role with some weekend work required

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Positive and optimistic attitude - "we can do anything" approach
- Experience with fixing day to day things - lights, taps, paint etc.
- Logical approach to problem solving
- Ability to understand what the customer sees - and ensure our property is always kept to the highest standard
- Ability to work with teams, and communicate clearly and in time
- Knowledge and experience working with large plant (boiler, chiller)
- Knowledge of a trade beneficial
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice highly regarded
- Strong communication skills
