Are you a seasoned Sourcing Specialist with a passion for procurement and a talent for pre-award activities? As a Sourcing Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in the procurement process from start to finish, with a focus on pre-award activities. You'll be responsible for conducting market research, identifying potential suppliers, developing sourcing strategies, and managing the tender process. Your expertise will shine as you negotiate contracts, evaluate supplier proposals, and ensure seamless transitions from pre-award to post-award activities. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to determine procurement requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies. - Lead the end-to-end bidding process, including issuing RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. - Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency. - Collaborate with post-award teams to ensure seamless handover and alignment. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Sourcing Specialist, with a strong focus on pre-award activities, however, full "cradle to grave" knowledge, is well regarded - In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiations. - Excellent analytical and decision-making skills to evaluate supplier proposals and make informed recommendations. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain successful supplier relationships. - Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
