The services we provide help fund our Social Impact initiatives across South East Queensland, including Schools' Breakfast Program, Vocational Schools, Cancer Survivors Program, Community Centres, Affordable Housing, Youth Mentoring and more. We also provide facilities and programs for marginalised and disadvantaged young people in need of help as well as providing affordable accommodation for people who have been without a home.

Being an OSHC educator holds a lot of flexibility to prioritise study or family needs, and at the Y, you might just discover a family of your own - we have a supportive on the ground and at head office.

What being an OSHC Educator Entails

OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.

As an OSHC Educator you will:

Your workspace at the Y

We have 12 services all across South East Queensland and we are now seeking Educators to join the team.

Our service's philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children's agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.

The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with 57 services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.

To be successful you must have:

- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
