The Maribyrnong Community Residential Facility (MCRF) is a short-term accommodation facility established for men who are exiting the prison system and would otherwise be homeless. The facility accommodates up to 44 people, including those who have just been released and who are on parole, but does not house anyone convicted of a sexual offence or assessed as posing a significant risk to staff, other residents or the wider community.
Residents engage with support services while living at the facility to assist them with finding suitable long-term accommodation and transition into the community. G4S employs between 25-30 staff for the running of the facility whilst support services are carried out by Jesuit Services.
ABOUT THE ROLE
G4S envisions a facility that is a ‘home away from home' for residents by creating a normalised community environment that can be used as transitional accommodation for vulnerable post-release or parole offenders. By providing a stable community-like environment, G4S will also support reintegration programs and reduce risk-factors that may lead to recidivism. In essence, our approach is to encourage residents to Keep Active, Rest Easy, Eat Well and Accomplish More

**The core responsibilities of this role are to**:

- Ensure, on a day-to-day basis, the management of the provision of quality services to ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the Residence
- Directly liaise with external stakeholders, such as Police, Ombudsman Victoria, Corrections Victoria, Magistrates, Registrars, Prisoner Management and Sentence Management staff.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the Compliance Framework.
- Manage the Centre's budget, ensuring financial costs are in line with targeted outcomes as detailed in the annual budget, ensure adherence to the purchasing policy.
- Develop and maintain the Business Plan, Continuity Plan, the control and management of all documents for the centre.
- Ensure necessary equipment & maintenance is performed on all equipment located on sites - FM provider oversight and liaison
