An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced **Senior Manager Intelligence, Systems and Digital Innovation **to join **North Eastern Public Health Unit.**
The North Eastern Public Health Unit (NEPHU) is one of nine public health units in Victoria: three in metropolitan Melbourne and six covering regional Victoria. Together these units form a coordinated network, working in partnership with the Department of Health to deliver a comprehensive public health program for Victoria. The NEPHU is led and coordinated by Austin Health and works in partnership with Northern Health and Eastern Health in a networked operational structure with responsibility spanning approximately 1.85m people living in the northeast of metropolitan Melbourne. The NEPHU is proud of its diverse multidisciplinary team who reflect the community we serve.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Post-graduate qualification in digital health, health informatics, health data science, digital innovation, epidemiology or similar (holding or working towards)
- Hold expertise in at least one of the two reporting streams, with a robust working understanding of the other
- Working knowledge of the health data landscape (at state and national level) including key stakeholders and legal and regulatory frameworks governing health data
- Experience in developing and/or implementing innovative systems in at least one of; digital health data systems OR epidemiological, data analysis and reporting systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver epidemiological, data and/or digital projects within determined timeframes and budget, at small or large scale
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence outcomes in the context of uncertainty, ambiguity and complexity
- Experience developing, implementing and driving improvement in processes, protocols, operational procedures and culture
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop digital and/or epidemiological teams and individuals in complex organisational structures or matrix systems
- Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with a consultative approach and a proven ability to build productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders and work as part of a team to influence outcomes.
