**About the Talison Lithium Laboratory**

The Talison Laboratory provides analytical services to the Greenbushes Lithium Operation as well as an external

refinery. The laboratory supports significant mining operations, multiple processing plants, shipping analyses, and

water analysis for a water treatment plant and site environmental requirements. The laboratory employs over 50

permanent full-time staff operating a 24-hour laboratory. The team includes shift laboratory technicians, trainer

and assessors and water analysis technicians as well as a second Laboratory Co-ordinator.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Laboratory Superintendent, an opportunity exists for a Laboratory Co-ordinator to join our team.

This is a permanent full-time position, working a 40-hour week. Options include Monday - Friday, 9-day fortnight

or 4-day work week.

This is a supervisory role where the incumbent will be supervising several team members within the laboratory.***

**Responsibilities include**:

- supervise, coach and mentor a team of Laboratory staff;
- maintain a safe workplace and adherence to company policies and procedures;
- ensure team training requirements are met in consultation with the Laboratory Trainers;
- ensure that the laboratory is properly supplied with consumables and equipment requirements;
- liaise with site users of laboratory services;
- liaise with Maintenance teams; and
- manage the roster for direct reports within the laboratory personnel.

We are looking for safety focused, independent, detail oriented and positive individual to join the Laboratory Team.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

- a willingness to contribute toward the success of your team while supporting a positive team culture;
- a commitment to quality assurance systems and processes;
- highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;
- tertiary qualification in chemistry or relevant discipline;
- supervisory experience, preferably in mineral analysis laboratories;
- familiarity with laboratory instrumentation e.g., ICPOES, XRF, AAS, sizing, sample prep and/or LIMS;
- understanding of laboratory safety regulations and standards;
- understanding of laboratory quality systems;
- high level of computer literacy; and
- reside or be prepared to relocate to within 60 minutes’ drive of the Greenbushes Lithium Operation.
