These positions are Full or Part time. As a trainee you will complete a Certificate 3 in Individual Support (Disability), this is a 12 month traineeship.

As a Disability Support Trainee you will undertake the following tasks:

- Supporting people with complex and high needs
- Act as a mentor, help people to set goals, share and discuss common experiences with people
- Provide appropriate levels of support to maintain and improve the clients level of independent functioning including participation in the community
- Respond to the client’s needs and collaborate positively with their families, support people and others in their lives.
- Keep accurate and complete records of activities via progress notes

To be considered for this position the following is required:

- Ability and willingness to work with high needs clients
- The ability to form respectful, positive relationships with our clients and follow support plans
- The ability to help with the enhancement of daily life skills, support in relation to personal care and accessing the community
- Be punctual and have a good work ethic
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical
- Hold a current drivers licence
- Satisfactorily pass a Working with Children Check and Police clearance
- Hold or be willing to obtain a First Aid qualification
- Available to start asap

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From $26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Full Driver Licence/Provisional P1 Drivers Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
