Maintenance Fitter
- Permanent Role
- 120k + superannuation

Ten Recruitment are seeking several maintenance fitters for roles with FMCG companies-based South of the river.

Your opportunity to join the business:
As a Fitter, you will be supporting our Maintenance team in attending to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner. We are looking for an experienced people to cover the afternoon shift (1:30pm to 10:30pm), Monday to Friday with NO rotation, some weekend work may be required to support the team.

Daily Tasks:
Attend to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner.

Reduce reactive maintenance and proactively improve unplanned downtime.

Assist in developing maintenance programs to support all internal stakeholders.

Ensure the execution of safety standards and quality assurance practices into all repairs and maintenance activities.

Identify and escalate Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Australian mechanical trade qualification

Experience in installations, repairs, and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably FMCG industry

Experience in fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic, and complex mechanical systems.

Experience in breakdown as well and preventive maintenance

Competent welding and fabrication skills

Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Proven skills in the areas of attention to detail, information processing and problem solving with the ability to multitask.

Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance.

Experience with Maximo as a CMMS would be an advantage.
