**About BaptistCare Aminya Centre**

Aminya Centre offers a warm and welcoming place to call home in the north-western Sydney suburb of Baulkham Hills. This popular facility contains 80 general care rooms featuring ensuites and a café within a friendly, tight-knit community.

As a purpose built facility, the latest technology has been included to ensure residents are well looked after. Our team of professional staff are dedicated to delivering the best possible care to residents. The Gracewood Centre is an integral part of the wider community and is co-located on site with a Social Club, Home Care and Retirement Living.

**About the role**

As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence. In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

The role is for a permanent part time working **32 hours per font night**.

**Skills and experience**
- You have completed Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete) and experience working with people with Dementia
- You hold a current NSW/ACT Drivers Licence and will be able to take clients on outings
- Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
- You have previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting
- You have highly developed organisation and time management skills
- You have an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
