Alteration Specialist

We’re a bridal business has established since 2007, looking for a dynamic alteration specialist to join our team in Leichhardt, Sydney. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our wedding dress store. This role will work with our Sales Consultant and Designer as a team to perform a range of tasks.
**Your duties will involve**:
Perform detailed alterations on a wide range of wedding and formal dresses ensuring optimal fit.
Repair and refurbish garments, including hemming, replacing zippers, and adjusting fit (take in or let out side seams)etc.
Custom-made a dress as per customer’s inspirations.
Assist on sales floor on busy Saturdays if need.
**Client Consultations**:
Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their needs, take accurate measurements, and provide expert advice on alteration.
Maintain accurate records of client measurements, alterations, and preferences for ongoing service excellence.
Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded by offering tailored solutions and personalized service.
Provide outstanding customer service by maintaining clear, respectful communication with clients and meeting all deadlines for garment delivery.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a tailor with expertise clothing
Proficiency in sewing techniques, both by hand and machine
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Experience with embroidery, beadwork, and other garment embellishment techniques is a plus.
Flexible working hours available and a supportive team atmosphere.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Freelance
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per year
Expected hours: 28 per week
