**About the opportunity**:
Here at Entain Australia we're building a market leading Econometrics team and we're seeking a Junior Econometrician who has enthusiasm and aptitude to learn in a professional setting.
Working directly with our Senior Econometrician and Insights Manager at our Brisbane HQ, you will be provided direct training to allow you to develop within your career in this space. As a team we extract, prepare and clean the data for modelling, performing exploratory data analysis to understand the latest trends in our input variables.
This role with contribute to developing well-presented information packs that are easily digestible by non-technical audiences as we deliver insights on marketing performance, identify areas for improvement and optimisation and provide recommendations for the marketing department and media agencies.

**With training and support you will**:
- Undertake data collection and preparation, model building to agreed objectives and deadlines
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis to interpretate the results
- Help create commercially viable recommendations
- Other duties as directed and required.
**Skills & Expereince**:
We'll assess your merit for this role by looking at what you've done previously - the knowledge, skills and attributes you can bring, plus your potential for development, and your personal qualities. Ideally you might have:
- An undergraduate degree with a strong basis in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Data Science
- Strong knowledge and use of excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of programming language (e.g. Python) desirable
- Be able to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively.
- Be a strong team player and be comfortable and adaptive within groups.
- Most of all however, you need to be highly driven person who really cares about discovering strong and innovative solutions to problems.
