**What can **you expect?**

Working on Naval vessels you will get experience repairing, installing, testing and commissioning a variety of electronics and mechanical equipment

You could find yourself:

- Performing fault analysis of commercial and military electronics/mechanical weapons equipment and systems
- Assisting in the installation of all types of naval equipment in shore and ship borne environments
- Assisting with the repairs of combat systems - think radars, navigation, fire control and communication systems
- Electronic systems fault finding and repairs
- System diagnostics
- Installation and calibration of electronic systems and support networks
- Electronics interface and design

Perhaps you’ve completed an apprenticeship or traineeship but you are looking to move laterally and working in complex electronics systems interests you.

Whilst we focus mostly on a great attitude and willingness to learn, here are a few key attributes you must bring to the role:

- Demonstrated electronics/electrical/mechanical and/or technical aptitude
- Great communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people
- Desirable: Certificate III Electrotechnology or Certificate III Electrotechnology would be advantageous

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
