**Delivery Driver / Stores Assistant**

**The Company**:Retail Outlet selling Industrial Engineering and Welding Gas Supplies

This is a **permanent full-time** position, 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

$65k to $70k depending on experience.

This great opportunity has become available for a Delivery Driver / Stores Assistant with a **MR Truck Licence and Forklift Licence.**

You will be undertaking deliveries in the South Eastern Suburbs, **primarily Dandenong/Hallam and nearby suburbs, **and supporting the storeman with warehousing and basic customer service tasks**.**

Knowledge of Welding, Safety and Industrial Products will be an advantage.

The role is diverse with lots of variety as outlined below:
Primary tasks:

- Picking, packing, preparing loads, and arranging delivery runs.
- Load delivery vehicle
- Deliver Gas bottles, pallets and box products
- Collect empty Gas bottles
- Maintain storage areas

Secondary tasks:

- Unload incoming delivery vehicles,
- Check deliveries match delivery dockets.
- Sign and receipt in stock. Check back-order report.
- Unload customer returns & check that gas cylinders are correct.
- Assist loading and invoicing as required.
- Participate in stock management tasks.
- Answer phones and transfer enquiries to appropriate area.

This is a **permanent full-time** position, 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

**Essential Requirements**:

- MR Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Previous Stores / Customer Service experience
- Physically fit - able to perform hand loads/unloads
- Meet OH&S requirements - follow all work safe instructions
- Neat and tidy personal presentation
- Reliable with a good work ethic
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Honest, reliable and trustworthy

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dandenong, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Delivery driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- MR Licence (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
