Workshop Officer

Part of the United Safety Group, QTEC Fire Services is a National Leader in Conventional Foam Fire Suppression Systems backed by Australian Manufacturing qualities. We have a range of products including loss of pressure, rise of pressure systems and have recently developed the Compact fire system which has opened up the market on smaller machines.

**The Role**:
We currently have a great opportunity due to business growth and are now looking for a Storeperson/Workshop Officer/Warehouse Operator to join our well established team, based in Southern Brisbane, in Willawong, QLD.

This is a full-time, permanent role in a very successful company that is happy to invest into its team members to sustain business growth. This role would suit someone who is mechanically minded and looks to work within a friendly and successful team.
- **Duties will include, but not limited to**:_
- Receipt of incoming goods
- Despatch duties
- Picking & packing off pick slips, preparation of parts required for assembly of Fire Suppression Systems
- Ensure perfect fit of components
- Minor forklift duties within the warehouse when required
- Support other team members within the warehouse as required
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
- Support other team members within the warehouse as required
- Previous stores/workshop experience ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Current Forklift Ticket
- Ability to work efficiently and in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with use of small hand and power tools
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work within a role where heavy lifting is required
- Light fabrication experience (not essential)
- Previous stores/workshop experience ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Current Forklift Ticket (not essential)
- Drivers Licence and own reliable transport

**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
