**Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a respected and busy Tiling Co who are currently looking for an experienced full time wall & floor tiler to join their supportive team.**

**Location **- Williams Landing is the base but you’ll work across the western suburbs and the Geelong region

**Salary** - Great salary in the range $50k to $60k will be negotiated with the successful applicant

**Appointment **- full time - ongoing

**About the business**

Our client is based in Williams Landing Vic and they operate successfully across Melbourne’s western suburbs and the Geelong region delivering high quality floor and wall tiling in the residential construction sector.

In addition to wall and floor tiling, they offer waterproofing, screeding and stone grouting services.

**About the role**

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work
- Preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces
- Spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position
- Using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes
- Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced
- Grouting tiles, and cleaning and removing excess grout
- May lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics
- Measuring, cutting and fixing underlay materials
- Laying coverings, such as tiles, cork tiles and matching patterns, cutting shapes around fixtures and trimming edges

**Skills and experience**
- Highly relevant qualifications - Certificate IV or equivalent, and least 3 years of post-trade professional experience
- An eye for detail, with you take pride in delivering projects
- Commitment to quality work and client satisfaction
- Strong communication skills
- Current Construction safety white card
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to observe all OH&S and other safety requirements
