Our client in **Dandenong** is seeking best. We are currently looking for **Welders/Assembler** for the production line. We are also seeking Welders in the Aftersales Service, **Bus Body Repairer** and an **Auto Electrician**.

**Welders/Assembler**:
- constructing framework sections in metal and other materials using shaping machines and cutting and welding equipment
- bolting, screwing, riveting and welding sections together to form complete frameworks
- cutting and shaping panels of sheet metal, aluminium and reinforced plastic and attaching to frameworks using hand and power tools
- modifying assembly line vehicles to special requirements
- preparing new vehicle trim work according to drawings and sketches, and removing old coverings and fittings from vehicles and taking new measurements
- selecting and cutting pieces of fabric, vinyl and leather and sewing pieces together using heavy-duty sewing machines
- installing internal trim in vehicles such as lining, floor coverings and armrests
- attaching door trims, rubber seals, locks and handles
- studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
- cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
- shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
- aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
- joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
- examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
- cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
- Use tools to make or repair parts and products
- Framing and fitting hardware based on different on specifications
- Work with others of the line
- Keep a clean and tidy workspace
- Identify and defective items and handle according to established procedures
- Follow all relevant safety guidelines and procedures
- Read and interpret drawings and written instructions
**Auto Electrician**:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and computer-controlled systems used in automotive technology
- Determine if a repair, upgrade, or new installation is required and carry out the process accordingly
- Provide an accurate break down of the time and costs involved to repair the identified fault
- Calibrate and test any electrical components and wiring following installation, repair, or upgrade
- Service or replace defective electrical parts and wiring
- Order parts and equipment as required
- Install and test immobiliser, alarm systems and electrically operated accessories such as radios and air conditioners
- Install/upgrade accessories
- Test headlight strength and alignment
- Safely use hand and electrical tools
- Follow all relevant safety guidelines and procedures
- Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
- Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components
- Installing electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles
- Connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply
- Adjusting engine control systems and timing
- Testing and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors
- Repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring
- Replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches
**COMPETENCIES**:
- Auto electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of diagnostics tools for vehicle electrical and electronics
- Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics and circuit diagrams
- Ability to carry out/repair electrical wiring in a range of vehicles
- Strong manual skills and precision when carrying out repair and testing
- Organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills
**PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**:
- Qualifications in auto electrician is highly regarded, however, any experience in this area supersedes qualifications
- Previous exposure and experience in a vehicle manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
- Previous exposure and experience in a vehicle manufacturing/service environment will be highly regarded
- Trade qualifications are preferred, but not essential.
- Applicants with previous experience in Chassis/Construction and or Fabrication, would highly be advantageous
- Fabrication experience preferred

- Dayshift Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:27pm
