**The Job**:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, and specifications to understand the required dimensions, tolerances, and materials for sheet metal fabrication.
- Use various cutting tools, such as shears, plasma cutters, or laser cutters, to accurately cut and shape sheet metal according to the specified measurements.
- Employ welding techniques, such as MIG or TIG, to join sheet metal components together, ensuring proper weld quality and strength.
- Smooth out rough edges, sharp corners, and imperfections on fabricated sheet metal using grinding tools, sanders, and polishers ensuring a clean and finished appearance.
- Inspect completed sheet metal components for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, ensuring they meet the required standards before final delivery or installation.
**Experience & Qualifications Required**:
- A sheet metal or mechanical trade qualification is preferred, but we’re open to hearing from those with trade level experience and no formal qualifications.
- 2 to 3 years minimum practical experience within metal fabrication.
- Tig, Mig and MMAW welding experience.
- The role will best suit someone who can work unsupervised once given a task and is used to working in a high quality fabrication environment.
- You will also need to live within 30-40 of minutes of Campbelltown and have your own vehicle.
