Interior Designer

Granny Flat Solutions is a multi-award-winning family-owned construction company based in Sydney's North. We’re looking for a talented Interior Designer to help the most important people of our business, our customers

This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.

- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related tertiary qualifications
- a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience professional Interior design work experience
- Proven design, documentation and construction detailing skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to collaborate successfully in a team environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and inter-personal skills
- Strong design skills and ability to document projects
- Project experience across all stages having seen projects through to completion
- High-end residential, hospitality or commercial project experience is ideal but not essential

Responsibilities include:

- Develop and prepare design presentations to communicate to clients, communities, and other stakeholders
- Negotiate design solutions with clients, management, suppliers, and construction staff
- Prepare the design analysis and research
- Solve complex design problems through schematic design and design development.
- Oversee the preparation of graphic materials for presentation to client.
- Research and recommend appropriate systems, materials and finishes.
- Develop strategic planning, conceptual designs, design development, and production.
- Perform interior design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development & construction documents.
- Select and recommend functional and aesthetic materials, furniture and products for interiors
- Provide design support for completion and execution of design projects.
- Detail and document selected design for construction
