The HR Administrator functionally reports to the Head of HR and works

closely with the HR Officer. The HR Administrator supports the HR team

**Key Relationships **and collaborates with Line Managers and employees for effective

people management. The HR Administrator is ultimately accountable

to the Principal, via the Director of Business Operations.

**_Position Objective: _**
Westminster School’s performance and reputation are enhanced because high quality of the professional
HR services and knowledge the HR Administrator provides, and because of the contribution to the
School’s desired culture and to School improvement initiatives made by the incumbent.

**_Position Overview: _**
The HR Administrator performs transactional HR administration duties to support the delivery of high
quality people management practices at Westminster. This includes end-to-end recruitment, on-boarding
of staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with statutory and school requirements, and assistance with
and contributing to continuous improvement of the Human Resource Management function.***

**_Key Responsibilities: _**
**_1. HR data policies, procedures and processes _**
- Assist with general HR enquiries and provide guidance to staff on HR policies and procedures and

employee relations. Escalate to the Head of HR as required.
- Assist with maintaining currency of policies, procedures and guidelines on the School’s database,

intranet and website.
- Manage HR related documentation, data, policies, practices and records, including maintaining

the HR information systems and databases and ensuring staff information is accurate and up to
date.

**_2. Recruitment and Onboarding_**
- Assist in the review and development of position descriptions.
- Prepare interview packs for recruitment panels as required.
- Assist with the on boarding of new staff, including preparation of employment documents, new

starter notifications, employee resources and assistance with induction processes.
**_3. _**Volunteer Coordination**
- Liaise with department managers to coordinate engagement and on boarding of new volunteers,

ensuring completion of necessary screening processes and mandatory compliance requirements
are met.
- Coordinate volunteer induction and training.
- Maintain a volunteer database via Connx, ensuring all compliance documents are uploaded to

enable accurate reporting.
**_4. _**General HR Support**
- Provide assistance with HR processes and practices including staff wellbeing and recognition

initiatives.
- Assist with HR reporting to meet internal and external compliance requirements, e.g. Working

with Children Checks, first aid, Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) training
- Assist with coordination of on site first aid courses for staff.

**_Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Skills and Experience: _**
- High level administration and coordination skills
- Demonstrated expertise in using Microsoft Office suite of programs, especially Excel and Word
- Strong skills in managing information within a database (HRIS preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of general HR practices, processes and procedures desirable
- Exceptionally high attention to detail
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in a similar role will be viewed favourably
