**About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse & Logistics coordinator to join us join us at our Cheltenham manufacturing plant. This role is primarily responsible for managing the Despatch of products to customers and promoting the prestige of Laminex through the provision of outstanding customer service, to meet the expectations of internal and external customers and to continually evaluate and improve the efficiency of the current fleet. The role ensures agreed levels of customer service are achieved through effective co-ordination of all Transport and Distribution operations.

As you will be required to interact with other department and logistic providers, relationship building and strong communication is a must.

This will be a purely office / site based position, however the hours are incredibly flexible with options to start as early as 6am to make school pick up or start as late as 9.30am to do school drop off.

This role would be best suited to someone from a warehouse management, fleet management or despatch management background (or similar).

**Key focuses & responsibilities will include**:
Reporting to the Support Services Manager, you will support the despatch functions within our large warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- To ensure the accuracy and quality of deliveries to the customer branches
- Manage the dispatch department which consist of 6 team members over 2 shifts and oversee daily operation
- To act as the communication and operational link between customer service and despatch operations
- Hold effective regular toolbox meetings in conjunction with the warehouse team leader
- Responsible for maintaining effective resource planning of the daily despatch operation
- Actively demonstrate safe work processes and report all/any incidents
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation is prepared for all shipments
- Co-ordinate distribution channels with existing 3PL providers where appropriate

**About You**

We are after the following experience, skills & traits:

- Prior experience managing the despatch function of a business as well as the proven ability to manage a diverse workforce
- Prior exposure to Human Resources will be highly regarded
- Computer literate and quick at learning despatch systems.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise tasks and operate in a constantly changing environment.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to relate to people at all levels with a particular focus on understanding the customer needs
- Commitment to Safety, OH&S policies and procedures.
