**Your new role**
Reporting to the Communications Lead, you will be responsible for developing communications plans and highly engaging content for the department’s internal and external channels. As the business partner for the department’s Office for the Early Years, you will deliver responsive communications services and provide expert communications advice.

With a proven ability in translating complex information into user-friendly content for a range of audiences and demonstrated experience in relationship management, you will provide timely and effective guidance while implementing best practice communications. This is an opportunity to join the department on a 10 month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity for further extension.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Previous communications experience, ideally within the public sector or similar
- Ability to create and maintain key relationships with internal managers and external stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with a keen eye for detail
- The ability to work autonomously independently, whilst collating information from internal divisions
- Demonstrated experience in effectively researching, developing, implementing and evaluating communications plan
- A current DHS Working with Children’s Check is required
