We are expanding our team and looking for **experienced Disability Support Workers who have worked with individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease**.

**About the Role**

As a **Disability Support Worker**, you will be supporting **NDIS participants with Parkinson’s Disease and other disabilities** in their daily lives. Your role will involve assisting with **personal care, mobility support, medication administration, therapy exercises, and community engagement**, ensuring participants maintain their independence and quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide **one-on-one support** to individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, focusing on mobility, daily living, and personal care.
- Assist with **medication prompting and administration** as per care plans.
- Support clients with **exercise programs and therapy-related activities** recommended by allied health professionals.
- Encourage **social and community participation** to improve mental well-being.
- Help with **meal preparation, household tasks, and transportation** where required.
- Monitor and document **health conditions, changes, and concerns**, ensuring clear communication with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Adhere to **NDIS compliance, safety policies, and person-centered care principles**.

**Requirements**:
✔ **Minimum Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care** (or equivalent).
✔ **Previous experience supporting individuals with Parkinson’s Disease** (essential).
✔ Knowledge of **mobility aids, fall prevention strategies, and Parkinson’s-related care needs**.
✔ **NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check** (or willing to obtain).
✔ **First Aid & CPR Certification** (or willing to obtain).
✔ **Manual Handling, Medication Administration, and Parkinson’s Disease-specific training** (preferred).
✔ **Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle** (preferred but not essential).
✔ Strong **communication, patience, and a person-centered approach**.
