Maintenance Fitter

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated fitter to join our dynamic Engineering team If you are looking for your next challenge this role is for you

**About the role**:

- Carry out light steels and stainless-steel construction that may include welding.
- Undertaking mechanical problem solving as required.
- Working with the machines to create product, improve production workflow and machinery such as automation.
- Ensure regular maintenance of machinery is undertaken.
- Liaise with subcontractors such as electricians and plumbers and escort them around the premises.
- Ensure that work environments are always kept clean and tidy.
- Work autonomously on maintenance projects and schedules.
- Any other duties as requested by management.

**About you**:

- Trade Qualifications in Fitting & Machining.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance.
- Sound manufacturing understanding and experience.
- Ability to implement processes and procedures where needed.
- Technical and mechanical understanding highly regarded.
- The ability to work autonomously.
- Current forklift licence. (or willing to obtain one)
- CURRENT Drivers licence.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure in peak periods.
- Enjoys being ‘hands on’.
- Plumbing fitting knowledge and experience desirable.
- Basic electrical fitting knowledge and experience desirable.
